Tuckered Out

I had to snap these pictures of the cat sleeping the other day...He gets in these sleeping positions and just looks so cozy to me. They say cats sleep 18 hours a day - I think he was working on hour 19 here...ha ha. Not much else has been going on - just settling in to the house. We are having friends over for chili and beer on Friday for a little housewarming party - Chris will make the chili and I will get the beer (a little role reversal, as Chris is by far the chili master!!) On Saturday, we're headed to a pumpkin carving contest and I think we're going to create a disco ball (thanks Brian and Amanda for the idea). Apparently you cut all different size holes in the pumpkin and put a little strobe light inside when it's done. Cool idea I think. I will post a picture when/if it turns out!

We're still debating on costume ideas - I am terrible at this. Usually come up with something the day before and end up not liking it. And Chris always insists that he is not dressing up - until we are 10 minutes out the door and then he asks for my help. A couple of years ago he was a basketball head (no, I did not approve this costume) but when I showed up at his house to pick him up, he had cut a slit in an old basketball and put it on his head and wore his glasses over it. Yup - a basketball head. I'm cracking up just thinking of it. Oh my.... Unfortunately, it was before we had our digital camera, otherwise, believe me, I would post it! Anyways, costumes - not our strong point.

Okay, off to eat breakfast. Have some huge cinnamon rolls that are calling my name!
