I am desperate to find a good pumpkin patch with cider, a gift shop and bales of hay - where are they? I went to an amazing one in Weston, MO with my sister and nephew a few years back and ever since, I have wanted to go to one just like it! Chris did make a good effort last weekend and had us practically in Wyoming, roaming for a good one - we never did find one that was 'quite right'. So instead, we went to New Belgium Brewery and had free beer samples. I knew Chris had a reason for going to Fort Collins! For anyone who has not been to New Belgium, it is such a fun place - They give free tours every 1/2 hour and then you get to try 4 samples of their micro brews in the tasting room (you can even skip the tour if you want and just sample, but the tour is pretty interesting). Good weekend activity - I highly recommend it
Chris left this morning for his 24 hours of Moab race. 8 guys for 4 days in 1 RV. I'm sure that will be fun - and smelly!
I am feeling ambitious and think I am going to use the opportunity to do a mini version of "While You Were Out". I am going to clean up our basement (well, as much as I can without dry walling and re-carpeting) and am going to set up the tv, futon, etc. I am also on the lookout for a cheap pool table or a poker table - anyone have ideas? Chris really wants one and is convinced I won't let him get one. Thought it would be fun to surprise him for his efforts of trying to find the perfect pumpkin patch for his crazy wife. And let's be honest, I also thought doing the basement would be the perfect opportunity to sneak in some shopping!
I will post some pictures this weekend (before and afters) and please feel free to leave a comment for any pool table or pumpkin patch recommendations...
PS - Congrats to my Cousin Nick and his fiancee Angela- they are getting married this weekend; sorry to miss it!
Love, Tiff

Hey! I know what you mean about the perfect pumpkin patch...I just found the perfect apple orchard and I want to go back so badly, but it is in North Carolina. Our friends down there found it--complete with great cider, hot fresh apple cider doughnuts, amazing apple trees where you can spend all day picking, lots of haybales and hayrides for kids...SO much fun. And it is on top of a mountain, too, so absolutely beautiful. Dang it. I want to go back. I'll be posting some pics of it on my blog today, hopefully...maybe you can just come out here!
Love you, Leigh
