Crate meets...

Arhaus who pals around with Target who is best friends with World Market who has a crush on Antrho who likes Pier 1 who can't resist Garage Sales who insists on including TJ Maxx, who spies on Ikea for ideas who has Pottery Barn's looks for less who's stunning trends turn into DIY projects on blogs across the country. And they all make an appearance at....our house! I'm still trying to sum up my decorating style in one or two words, but for now the above will have to suffice.

I have been up-dating, day-dreaming and re-decorating several areas in our little abode these past few days; I think it's the new season (as of yesterday!!) that is nagging me for a fresh, clean and crisp look.

I have now decided that these 'not too pretty yet very elegant/practical/simple' shelves below will make a permanent home on our empty dining room wall. Taken from the amazing and talented Sherry and John over at This Yong House (Check them out - seriously):

What do you think? I love the idea that you can change them up all of the time depending on what you want to "showcase".

I will post a picture of our empty dining room wall - before and after these guys are installed! But, first I need to buy them! I would rather get in a store rather than ordering on-line from Ikea but can't seem to find them anywhere.

Ideas (other than making and painting our own. am eager for a 'pick up and go' project at the moment - it's summer!) ??
