Homeless, Clueless and Shoeless

Homeless because we have not yet heard back about the offer we placed on a house (very cute bungalow in Park Hill) and are officially gone from our apartment tomorrow. Clueless because we have no idea what we're up against in this offer letter, loan application, fix and flip, house game thing. Shoeless because I could NOT, for the life of me, find my other pink shoe this morning!

This past weekend we went to a party to say goodbye to our friend Bizz as he heads off to medical school - good luck Bizz! I'm still unsure of his real name....hmm. We also hung out with our favorite friend Thompson at our favorite restaurant, Vine Street. Watched Erin's kids on Saturday and Sunday and had a great time, despite the 2:00am wake up call from Miss Maddie. My brother is doing well and on the path to healing - which is great. We are all so thankful right now. The latest news from the Huston camp is that Pat is being deployed to Afghanistan (okay, not going to look that one up) on August 15th. He will be gone for almost a year. Even though I do not see him often, there really is a void when he is gone so far away. I do not know how my sister has the ability to look at these situations as positive as she does and is able to add in a bit of humor on top of it...really, an amazing person. I'm sure Cutter will benefit from having such great role models!

On the work front, I am leaving for my first program on August 21st to Amsterdam and am pre-extending in Paris. I am so excited. "Bonjour. Je mapel Tiffany" I'm hoping that, "Hello, my name is Tiffany" will also work for "Which way to the train?", "How much is..." and "Where's the closest bar?", because that's about all the French I know!

We are making the move to Chris's parents on Thursday - I feel like we are moving to a far off land. It's 20 minutes, I know, let's be real Tiffany. But still. That's it for now - I really will post pictures soon....see a trend here? Does anyone else find that process to be a big pain in the you know what?

I just keep my camera cord next to the computer so that I can upload pictures as often as I need them...and my camera is always close by. I can't wait to see your new house! CONGRATULATIONS! That is very exciting.
