And the joke's on me....I will now have a round trip, 12 hour flight to Europe and several train rides with no music. I do have the most wonderful husband, however, who just had to laugh when I told him the mistake I had made. It's not even my i-pod, it's his! I sure am glad that I decided against giving Chris a lecture about leaving papers and tissues in his pockets...
We had our inspection on the house last night; it went well....I think. Although there is about 20 pages of recommended fixes, the inspector assured us that this was fairly normal and that there was certainly nothing to make him run out of the house for; a good sign! There are a few issues that we will have to address like the furnace and a gas meter, but other than that, things look good. We are eager to start working on the house, landscaping, painting, etc. I am thankful for Chris and his family, as they are all very handy and really have a good grasp on how to tackle home-repair stuff. I, on the other hand, can hang a few pictures up, paint a chair or two and pot some plants. Okay, even the plant thing is a stretch ;)
Other than that, I am busy this morning packing for my trip this afternoon. I am pretty excited, although I have absolutely no idea what I will encounter! Paris is my first stop where I will be myself until Monday, and then I will meet my co-worker in Amsterdam for our program, USA Triathlon. Chris's brother, Mike, and his girlfriend Abby will be coming in town this weekend, so I am bummed to miss them. I'm also disappointed to miss the DNC next wee....take lots of pictures my Denver friends!!
P.S. Happy 7th Birthday to my nephew, Cutter, on Sept 2nd!!
Love you all...Bon Voyage!
