Catching Up

May is flying by and if the past few days are any indication of the summer to come, it looks like it's going to be a busy one! Although we haven't been up to anything major, Chris and I have been enjoying the nice weather, longer nights and generally just hanging out with each other and our family and friends. During the past 12 days we have:

-Gone on 6 evening bike rides and have discovered several new dream homes in our neighborhood

-Tried 5 new dining options including, Steve's Snappin Dogs (Hotdogs), Mexcal (Mexican), Geez Louise (Coffee), My Big Fat Cupcake (obvs.) and Jax Subs (Sandwiches). All of which were just, eh, but fun to try nonetheless

-Have cleared out our basement in preparation for the last 2 things, baseboards and carpet

-Hung out with the neighbors twice

-Pulled 2 trashcans full worth of weeds and are only 1/4 way done

-Made one breakfast and one dinner for our two lovely mom's

-Brunch and shopping with some girlfriends for me and bike ride and beers with a buddy for Chris

-...and, if I may, my own personal accomplishment of having run over 25 miles in the pas 12 days!! Pretty sure I never thought I would ever put 'my', '25' and 'run' in the same sentence. Woo hoo.

It will be a Kampsnider extravaganza towards the end of the month, as Chris has several family members headed into town, his little brother, Tim, is graduating, there are two kiddos birthday parties, a cd release party for his brother-in-law, Mark, 3 family bbq's and one Memorial Day run, the Bolder Boulder.

Here are a few random pictures of the past several days...

Our nephew, Jack. Looking too cute in slightly small pajamas and cowboy boots. Nice.

My mom's day brunch set-up. On the menu: Blueberry Scones, Berry filled Crepes with Whipped Cream and Egg, Asparagus and Swiss mini quiches...um, delicious if I do say so myself.
