A much needed break

It's 9:00am on Thursday morning and I am still in my pajamas.  And, I think I may just stay in them all day!

We have been BUSY these past couple of weeks and today is the first day that nothing is "on the books".  I am ready for a little rest and relaxation today...

Chris's sister, Leigh, and her family were in town until yesterday and it was wonderful to spend time with them and to meet our newest nephew, Griffin.  He is a little chub, and is simply adorable.  At 5 months, he is 18 pounds and all smiles.  We had a lot of family time and we were on the go constantly.

We even had our first "overnight" away from home with Logan.  I will admit, I think I bit off more than I could chew with this one.  It is a job in itself to get all of the necessary items together for a night away with a little one, even if we were just going to Chris's parents house.

It was fun to spend time with all of the cousins and it still feels strange that Chris and I now have one of our own to add to the mix.  Although, I did not capture all of the kiddos together, I was able to get a few of them individually.  I am amazed at how different all of the kids look between each family!  You can especially see how different they all are when you look at the 3 cousins who are closest in age.  Clare is 10 months, Griffin is 5 months and Logan, 1 month.

In other news, Chris and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary on the 7th and I celebrated my 26th birthday yesterday!  Chris surprised me with a babysitter last night so that we could go out for Sushi (which I have been dying to have!) but we ended up cancelling and ordering in due to Logan being in slight hysterics as we were about to leave, hah.  I suppose I was not quite ready to leave her and I did not want to scare our neighbors who are expecting in a few weeks of what is to come, hehe.

It was still a great birthday, however, and Chris did good with perfume and a gift card to my favorite guilty pleasure - Anthroplogie!

Today, a little bit of nothing is planned and it's fine by me.  I start back to work (albeit, working from home most days) at the end of the month and I really want to soak in these last free days with my sweet girl.  What they say is true, time really does fly by!

Lastly, the girls won this year's rivalry against dad.  CU came through against CSU with an awesome win. Chris said that we have to alternate years with who Logan roots for, but between us, she will always be black and gold :)

Go Buffs!
