Colorado on Fire

Colorado is generally safe from natural disasters.  We are not prone to earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and the like.  But this year's fire season is proving to be the worst in history.  Our beloved and beautiful foothills and mountains are turning to ash and fires are getting much too close to residents.

I am currently in Kansas City for a work event and watching the National news about Colorado "...burning to the ground" as one reporter said, is quite surreal.  It's a much different feeling when it's your state, your friends, your family and your community that are in danger...as many of you know.

Here's to praying for relief, rain, calmer winds and lower temperatures.
