We made our way up the hill this weekend to spend the night at
The Little Nell.
Someone (Chris) might wonder why we would pack up the car and make a 4-hour drive with a toddler for only one evening. To which I would quickly respond with something (exactly) like, "Because The Little Nell is offering a Colorado Resident rate under $150.00 a night and who knows when we'll get to pretend like we roll with the rich and famous (side note: I spotted country singer, Miranda Lambert) at a five-star hotel in Aspen again. And...the Broncos don't play this weekend."
Sold.
We had a great time lavishing in all that the beautiful property had to offer and as it sits right at the base of Aspen Mountain in all her glory, we were by no means roughing it. We were able to get in a few hikes, visit Aspen Brewing Company, relax in the plush oversized king bed (which with being pregnant was a dream come true), soak in their saltwater hot tub, eat our way through the complimentary (!) mini bar, order room service and let Logan run from the bathroom to the bed to the living room to her hearts content. Needless to say, she had no trouble adjusting to her surroundings.
It was a nice getaway and the perfect way to spend some time with our current little family of three that will soon be four. Which I must admit is very bittersweet...but more about that on a later date.

What a fun, quick trip! It still looks gorgeous up there.
So sad we missed our weekend there a few weeks ago! Love her coloring while sleeping too... too cute.
